Hello, I’m Kathleen and I set up thread softly in 2020.
Thread Softly is based in my home in Dublin, where I design and make all products myself.
The company is born out of a love of textiles and of making, and a dislike for mass market, unethically-produced, fast fashion accessories.
I aim to create practical things – things that are both useful and beautiful and bring joy to their owners. My main product range started with bags and quickly expanded to include popular snoods.
All products are ideal as gifts for others, or for yourself.
I genuinely want each customer to be happy with their Thread Softly purchase. I value good customer services and so strive to provide a superior customer experience and am happy to alter products, or to customise them to customer needs.
I am dedicated to sustainable development and always look to source textiles that comply with ethical production standards and to minimise waste. I also like to re-use and re-purpose fabrics.
The company name is very special and is ‘borrowed’ from one of my favourite poems by William Butler Yeats – The Cloths of Heaven – which finishes with the line...
